We've done our first iteration of our game Balance is Key in a six-hour game jam.
Our game's main idea is: four players would hold a plank from all corners trying to balance a ball on top of it with wonky physics akin to Human: Fall Flat. Players have to move through levels without dropping the ball off the platform. Deaccelerating or accelerating suddenly might cause the ball to keep its momentum and fall over the plank. Every player would have their hands glued to the corner they're carrying the plank.
Our Game jam build contains a cat character model replicated four times. A 3D object in unity that acts as the plank. We couldn't get the ball physics to act correctly; it would just be fixed in its world position unaffected by the plank's movement underneath it, so we've removed the ball for this game jam.
