Dev Log 8: 2021-11-03
We have the rigged and animated new character model in our game now.
The animation is a goofy walk animation, fitting to our humanoid characters and our game’s theme.
We changed the tutorial level a bit. Added footstep, ball hitting the ground SFX.
The tutorial level now forces players to use their trigger buttons to get through, so it actually is a tutorial level now.
We also have a script that loads different parts of a level randomly, and creates one level using those. So one part of the level, like a bridge for example, some uneven terrain, or whatever different parts we're going to implement. So our levels would be sort of randomly generated, but it’s only with respect to picking parts that have been handcrafted and tested, and gluing those together to create a level.
The physics have been tweaked a bit. We have an ambience for outdoors and indoors that are implemented.
We're going on a week long break. We'll resume posting our Devlogs after it. Expect the Devlog to be delayed a bit.
Last but not least, we're going to present our game in it's current state to industry developers. We're going to talk about the feedback we've got in our next devlog.
